When a salty, scurvy-afflicted sailor with a peg leg met a buxom tavern wench who longed to sail the Sea of Matrimony...Wait, that's not it.When a roguish adventuress met a gangly warlock in the Dungeon of Single-hood...No, that's not right either.

How about this: When a Renaissance Faire aficionado and an RPG playing nerd meet, they, of course, do so online.

In early 2016, Heather decided on a whim to make an OKCupid profile, thinking she'd dip into online dating slowly, and not quite sure what to expect. What she never expected was finding love quite as soon as she did. George took the time to actually read her profile, and start the conversation with a question about her interests, rather than appearance (a rare thing in the world of online dating, for those unaware.)

From there, it didn't take long to set up a first date, on February 27th, at the Selinsgrove Brew Pub. After finally getting a table, they quickly discovered mutual areas of interest, and ended the night with a stroll through town, all the while being followed by an adorable kitten. (A sign of things to come, perhaps?)

Two years. and several major life events later, George decided the time was right to actually discuss marriage. So, off they went to the friend Heather has known the longest, who, conveniently enough, happens to design and make jewelry. Together, the three of them came up with a ring design, and the designer and George plotted to keep everything else a secret. And so it was, that on their two year anniversary, George surprised Heather with an intimate proposal at home, every hobbit-at-heart's dream.

Fast-forward another two years, and the wedding date rapidly approaches. We can't wait to share this part of our story with all of you, and hope to see you there.
